MAKING SHAPES WITH THE SELECTION TOOL

This is a simple keyhole shape to show how you can make shapes using the selection tool.

Open a new image in Paint Shop Pro and flood fill with a colour of your choice. Make a new layer then go to Selection Tool and choose the triangle shape and make a triangle.  Leave selected.

On the same layer go to Selection Tool again and choose the circle shape.   Move your cursor in a straight line up from the top of the triangle, roughly where you want the centre of the circle to be.   Hold down the Shift key and at the same time draw out a circle large enough to cover just below the top of the triangle.   Your two selections will merge and you should now have your keyhole shape.

Flood fill the selection with white.  Leave selected.  Obviously this is just to give you an idea and when you make your own shapes you can choose whatever colour or pattern you like.
